What is Counselling / Psychotherapy

Therapeutic Counselling or Psychotherapy is a confidential relationship in which you can explore problems and issues which are impacting on your life.

People come for counselling for many reasons:

  • to work through childhood or historic issues or traumas
  • to explore current concerns or dilemmas
  • to gain insight into personal behaviour 
  • to enable change

The process of counselling can be healing and transformative as you are encouraged to reflect, and should you choose, change patterns of thinking and behaviour.
